NET produced an hour-long special, Living With Cancer in Nebraska, that premiered on April 3 on NET1. This program featured segments on "Rural Health and Advancements in Cancer Treatment," "Pancreatic Cancer," and "Impact on Families." UNMC's Ken Cowan, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, Sarah Thayer, M.D., Ph.D., physician-in-chief of the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center and their guests offered insight on Living With Cancer in Nebraska. NET News also developed three companion Signature Stories--"Communication & Cancer," "Genomic Therapy Treatment," and "Pancreatic Cancer". In March, NET and its partners hosted a series of program previews and discussions focusing on healthcare communication. Panels in each location consisted of cancer-focused health specialists, cancer survivors and caregivers. SNCC physician, Dr. Nathan Green, is a panelist on this program. Visit the photo gallery here.
