Heartland Cancer Foundation
The Heartland Cancer Foundation, formerly Southeast Nebraska Cancer Foundation, offers assistance to cancer patients living in Boone, Cass, Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, Saline, Seward or York counties in Nebraska. Financial assistance is available to cover cancer-related lodging and/or transportation costs to and from treatment or cancer-related doctor appointments.
The Heartland Cancer Foundation provides assistance to approved patients of all ages who are being treated for any type of cancer at any cancer treatment facility. All recipients must meet the Foundation’s guidelines.
The Southeast Nebraska Cancer Foundation was established in 2006 to assist eligible cancer patients with the expense of their gasoline while receiving cancer treatment. In 2012, we added a program to help patients with the cost of their oral cancer and supportive medications. Our goal is to imagine a culture in which every cancer patient can have access to their needed cancer treatments. Our purpose is to help eliminate the financial stress so they can focus on fighting and recovery.
In 2014, our name was changed to the Heartland Cancer Foundation. The Heartland Cancer Foundation is an independent, nonprofit qualified 501(c)(3) organization. Your gift to this effort qualifies for a charitable tax deduction.
You may choose to make your gift in honor or memory of a loved one or a friend. An acknowledgement letter will be sent to the family.
